Sweet and Simple Valentine's Day Makeup
In celebration of Valentine's Day I put together this pretty sweet in pink Valentine's Day inspired makeup look. It's a dramatic yet simple pink shimmery eye look paired with a baby pink lip. All eyeshadows used are from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette but you can use any products you already have to complete this look. The eyes may look a bit complicated but trust me it is super simple (the key is to blend, blend, blend!). I am trying out the colors by numbers method for the first time with this look for those of you who would like to recreate it so let me know if you'd like me to continue to use this method for any of my future makeup looks.
P.S. I'm sorry about posting so many makeup looks lately. I promise I have several product reviews and other good stuff coming soon. If you have any requests I would love to hear them! Let me know what you'd like to see via email, Facebook or Instagram ♥
Product List and How-to:
Foundation: Kat Von D Lockit Foundation in M54
Concealer: NYX HD Concealer in Beige
Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown
Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills Original Contour Palette
Lips: Covergirl Lipstick in 'Heavenly' & Revlon Lipgloss in 'Bellini' on top
Lashes: Lena Lashes in the style 'Bianca'
Liner: Kat Von D Liner in 'Trooper' on the lid and Marc Jacobs Black pencil liner (any black liners would do)
Eyeshadows: Using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette first use the shade 'Nooner' (#1, soft matte brown color) and blend onto your crease, then place the shade 'Strange' (#2, matte ivory color) on the inner corners of the eye and to highlight the brow bone. Apply the shade 'Buzz' (#3, shimmery pink color) and place it on the center of the lid but do not go past the crease. And finally add the darkest shade called 'Blackheart' (#4, black with barely noticeable pink shimmer - any matte black would be fine) and place it on the outercorner of the eye and under the eye on your bottom lash line (not visible in photo with numbers but visible in photos above). Take a clean fluffy makeup brush without any product or eyeshadows on it and just blend all of the colors until they have the desired effect. If you blend too much don't worry and just keep repeating the steps above and blend again until it looks just right.
